Blazusiak rules supreme at home round of SuperEnduro World Championship
.
In front of 7,800 enthusiastic Polish indoor enduro fans KTM Enduro Factory Team rider Taddy Blazusiak has maintained his 100 per cent win record in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship securing three main event victories at round two of the series in Lodz, Poland. The first ever international indoor enduro event to be held in Poland, the second and penultimate round of the SuperEnduro series saw Blazusiak once again dominate the proceedings to claim another maximum 60-point haul. With one round of the series remaining, in Barcelona, Spain on February 5th, Taddy holds a 39-point advantage in the championship standings.
Despite a sizeable fall during the night’s pre-qualifying races Taddy made his intentions of wanting to continue his championship dominance clear in the opening final by leading from start to finish. Keeping the partisan crowd entertained throughout all finals Taddy quickly worked his way to the front in the second main event, having started last as a result of the reversed start order. The night’s third and last final again saw Blazusiak dominate as he rounded the first turn in the lead before going on to claim the chequered flag as the deserved winner.
Round three of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship takes place in Barcelona, Spain, on February 5th 2012.

Taddy: ‘This has been one of the best events ever for me. Getting to race in front of my home crowd is something I’ve been looking forward to all year and to be able to win all three finals and extend my lead in the championship is just amazing. I knew that I would get a lot of support here, but I wasn’t ready for the reaction of the crowd when I first rode into the arena – I have to say I was a little bit emotional. The event has been amazing. The organising team really did a fantastic job, and the event was more than worthy of being a round of the SuperEnduro World Championship. The track was a little easier than in Genoa, but it made for some great racing. Just like in Genoa getting good starts was important and I managed to do that. In the first race I made a small mistake and Jonny Walker got close to me for a few laps but by the end of the race I had a pretty decent lead so I was happy with the way that race went. The second race was the reversed start order, which I knew would make things tricky. But I went for a few ballsy passes on the first lap, which paid off, and I hit the front on lap two. Once I was in the lead I settled down a bit and the second half of the race went really well. The third final was perfect. I got the holeshot and lead from start to finish to make it a perfect night. It really has been an amazing event, and the perfect way for me to bring the year to an end.’.
